The true mastery of old world style is in the use of natural elements. You will note the obvious that carpenters of old had very little to work with but built castles, cathedrals, palaces and so much more with what they had. Finding fine carpentry in wood work and stone work are an expectation of a home deemed “old world”. It is the mark of a true tradesman, craftsman, and home builder to show what they can do with they have been given.
Fast forward to today, there are so many ways to build a home that one could easily ruin a product with overkill. What Joel Johnson of JMG Construction would do with this home is stay true to a cause of appreciation for the trade. He would build a beautiful old world home.
The home takes its stage in a beautiful wooded area of Orem called The Berkshires. The Berkshires is a private gated community of very fine homes. Taking its name from the first county in England where the famous windsor castle is, The Berkshires in Orem is home to a few palaces of its own.
Upon approaching this home, you are taken back by the turret and beautiful entrance of the home. The trees surround the home but do not block the vista of the mountains behind. Once inside the two story entrance you are taken back by the fine woodwork. The use of stain grade trim is used throughout with an old world plaster finish on the walls. The fine light fixtures light up every room, hallway and space with a soft romantic glow. What is even more amazing is how detailed the thought process was from the copper ceiling of the turret to the lighting down the barrel vaulted hallways.
This immaculate home will be on display during the parade of homes in utah county from May 30th to June 14th. Be sure to stop in and see this home. The home is sure to impress even the most discriminating buyer. If you would like a private tour of this home be sure to call Joel Johnson at 801-429-9443.
