One of the great things about St George is the outdoor lifestyle. The days here can be filled with golf, swimming, hiking or just relaxing in the sun. The nights are also welcome to staying in the great outdoors. Bracken made this home so that the entertaining was year-round and indoors or out.
Upon walking up to the home, you enter a large courtyard with a water feature and an outdoor fireplace. The elements of fire and water surround you like a blanket of comfort and help you relax on those colder desert nights. I would have loved to have come back and visited this home in the early evening. What a masterpiece it must be at night.
Once you enter the home you are welcomed by an entry foyer lined with Kachina dolls. This sets the stage for this Santa Fe styled home. As mentioned before, beyond the foyer is the great room. This great room is something that words can't describe. You simply have to see it. What most homes don't have that this one does, is an ice cream parlor. Right off of the great room is this small kitchenette for an ice cream bar that most homes would have used for a wet bar. This great room, kitchen, dining and ice cream bar were designed for someone who enjoys life.
As the tour around this home goes, you are directed to go towards the library and then on to the bedrooms. This library has stunning abalone style glass doors that slide open to large and welcoming room. Around the corner, 4 bedrooms of substantial size await. First, a guest suite with a round turret looks over the front entrance. This suite was designed to keep your guests feeling welcome and at home. Two nearby bedrooms could be for your guests kids or your own. Either way there is room enough for four beds in those two rooms. Down the hall towards the back of the home is the second master suite. The back wall is rounded with a wall of windows looking over the golf course and canyons. The private bath is stunning. Two glass walls intersect leaving you endless views beyond the tub.
On the opposite end of the home is the real master suite. This large room has tray ceiling with a gorgeous view and its own access to a private patio and out the other way, the pool. Attached to the luxurious bath is the exercise room. To me, this room had one of the best views in the house. There is a natural sculpture of red rocks that stands just beyond the golf course. From this exercise room, you view strength, power and beauty. There is also one more room just around the corner of the exercise room. A final guest suite that is semi-private and cut off from the rest of the house. It may not be accessible from the house but that doesn't mean they skimped or forgot about it. No, this room was every bit as glamorous as the rest of the home.
Bracken Custom Homes, Archibald Design Inc and Michael Rennick of Casafina all deserve awards for this breathtaking $3.5 Million dollar home. From front to back and side to side, it seems as though nothing was forgotten or overlooked. The beauty of Santa Fe style blended with modern comforts and glamorous furnishings made for a simply spectacular home.
