Some of the most spectacular homes in the nation are found in New York. Specifically "The Hamptons". Many people seek to take their fortunes and retire lavishly in this serene coastal town. For one local family, who had lived on both coasts and recently found themselves in Utah, a Hampton style home is what they wanted.
Trulan Pierce of Brookwood construction and partner Diana Draper studied up on the style of architecture and interior design found in the Hamptons. Ready for the challenge, they embarked with two goals. First, create a home that would fit in with the east coast architecture and two make it open and bright. What Brookwood came up with as a finished product was a remarkable luxury home.
In many cases, Utah homes are becoming more and more dark with rich rustic tones and many earthy materials. This home is almost the complete opposite. The windows are very large in size and the wall colors reflect a very warm cheery feeling. Just walking inside this home will brighten your day. The materials seem to be inspired by the Hollywood Glamor scene with polished mirror finishes, but it is not over stated. Many of the cabinets are either white or a yellow color thus adding to the open feeling of the home.
Another very nice feature of the home are the room sizes. It seems that every room has a nice high ceiling and a comfortable amount of open space. Even the basement has ten foot ceilings! The movie theater feels grand and there is even a large half court basketball court under the garage. All of the bedrooms are spacious and it seems as though they were planned to capture the views of all the mountain peaks.
Probably the most exciting part is that there is so much to offer in this home. The master suite is luxurious and breathtaking. The movie theater is of the highest quality. The exercise room has two ceiling fans that each have two fans on them to help spread the air. There are windows in the exercise room looking back into the home to allow natural light from the backyard. The mother-in-law apartment is absolutely amazing. A full kitchen, two bedrooms, two full baths and its own entrance make this apartment a wonderful place for family members to come and stay a while. Every room in the house has a spectacular view of either mountains tops or of open fields.
Of course my favorite part of the home is the backyard. As you walk out of the kitchen into the backyard, you walk under the deck to the guest apartment. This covered area seats a dining table and a guest seating arrangement next to an outdoor fireplace. All of this overlooks the beautiful pool and spacious acre of property. The kids can run wild here, play in a sand box, jump on a trampoline or slide down the custom water slide into the pool.
Truly this is an amazing home and a spectacular property. Interested parties should contact Diana Draper with Brookwood at 801-362-6411 for more information and a tour of this home. The home is currently for sale for $4.5 million furnished.
